I like the phrase "with friends like that, who needs enemies?". I think we mix up friendships with our assumptions and expectations and that can lead to disaster. Instead, Rober Greene says, look for enemies to become allies because basically you know who they are and what they are about. Another point of discussion is how this law applies when sometimes "enemies" are mindsets, family traits or illnesses.

THE FULL JUDGMENT: Be wary of friends-they will betray you more quickly, for they are easily aroused to envy. They also become spoiled and tyrannical. But hire a former enemy and he will be more loyal than a friend because he has more to prove. In fact, you have more to fear from friends than from enemies. If you have no enemies, find a way to make them.
